Bariloche’s Cassis Restaurant A Dining Experience Like No Other With Spectacular Lake Views

For me part of the fun in traveling is all the research leading up to the trip. It builds the excitement and gives me something fabulous to look forward to. So, once Katherine and I (yes the same Katherine you’ve read about on many of my other trips, most recently our Road Trip across Route 66) landed on our Chile/Argentina itinerary I started looking into restaurants. It seemed whatever publication or site I referenced, Cassis Restaurant was always on the top of the list. I was also fascinated by the story of the husband and wife partners. The wife is the Chef and the husband the manager. For some reason, I always think it’s both romantic and impressive when partners can work together.

Back to the food…. Dining at Cassis was one of the loveliest meals we experienced while traveling in Chile & Argentina. I don’t say that just because it was fancy and over the top delicious, but the peaceful serenity of the restaurants’ location (about 15 minutes outside of town deep in the woods) made this a truly memorable experience. Although we arrived when it was dark outside we heard that their daytime views of the Lake and Mountains are spectacular (shown below) and another draw guests enjoy. It also helps when having a delicious meal to be treated to fabulous wine. Thanks Dad (aka Dadboy). It’s very special to have your thoughtfulness join me wherever my travels take me! I highly recommend visiting Cassis when in Bariloche. The food is fabulous with every detail thought of on top of that the service was stellar.
