Delarosa on Yerba Buena Lane

Pizza

What is Delarosa? Delarosa is a fantastic lunch, happy hour and dinner hotspot on Yerba Buena Lane in Downtown San Francisco. This location is the restaurant’s second, after the original Chestnut Street restaurant. With Delarosa’s arrival on the scene, Yerba Buena Lane is the place to be, a midday hangout for the office crew or hungry shoppers, you cannot go wrong with this lively eatery.

What are the culinary offerings? Delarosa is a modern take on a Roman style pizzeria. Thin crusted pizzas, gorgeous seasonal salads, antipasti, pastas, all are divine. The pizza selection is extensive with over 10 possibilities, additional toppings are also available, including vegan cheese and vegan sausage! I had to try the Margherita pizza, an excellent light choice, and the seasonal Ravioli offering, sage butter and pumpkin, need I say more…..

What are you boozing on with this AMAZING food: As far as drinks, Delarosa serves a full bar menu, and Italian and California wines.

What is the ambiance? This hotspot is just the right amount of cool and casual. It’s an eat and mingle kind of place. Long wooden tables encourage communal dining, a perfect setting for a group office date. My 12:30pm lunch was bumping, every seat was taken and the place was full of happy eaters. If you’re looking for a quieter experience, head to Delarosa anytime in the afternoon as they are open ALL day, 11.30 am to 1 AM. Your downtown pizza fix will always be met!

PizzaOur Antipasti course consisted of melt in your mouth lamb meatballs and burrata bruschetta with hazelnut & honey. Yum!

PizzaFor something lighter, a beet and arugula salad.
