Experience The Vibrant Mexican Scene at Hecho San Francisco

Hecho

Hecho, located along thriving Market Street, is a festive location serving high-quality Mexican fare. Light, refreshing, spicy, and sweet are a just a few words that describe the vibrant menu. Luckily, Hecho serves brunch, dinner, and has an impressive cocktail menu. In addition to the tequila and mezcal bar, you can sign up to attend a tasting class. After the drinks I tried, I will absolutely be signing up soon!

Hecho

Hecho, which is the Spanish word for “made,” definitely made me want to return immediately! There is no forgetting the decor inside and out. From fun patterns to bright-colored stools, you will notice the vibe immediately. The restaurant is designed to be a social destination. With large communal tables and the option to dine outside, it is a perfect place to go with a fun group.

Hecho

My recent visit to Hecho was with an amazing group of fellow food bloggers – some of my favorite people to try new places with! We tried a wide array of dishes off the new brunch menu which was recently launched and I loved it all. The combination of dishes the chef shared with us, hit all flavor notes, which made it a dining experience that I won’t soon forget. To start we had Hecho’s infamous guacamole, salsa, and homemade tortilla chips. I could have devoured that for days!

Next came the Sandia Salad that combined crisp and refreshing watermelon with a punch of spice. Then authentic but fresh, Chilaquiles arrived on the table. The creamy texture of the beans combined with the crunch from the vegetables, was topped off nicely with an overeasy egg. I haven’t stopped dreaming about the Churro Donut Holes. OMG they were heavenly. A light a fluffy fried dough, rolled in cinnamon sugar, attop dulce de leche, and finished with stone fruit, made for an amazing sweet brunch dish. To wrap up the food aspect of the meal, we enjoyed the restaurant’s famous breakfast Hecho Hash. Fried potatoes, covered in queso fundido that had a spicy kick, and topped with carnitas that melted in my mouth.

Sandia Salad as delicious tasting as it looks!

The tasty donuts, so light and delicious you could finish the plate!

The Hecho Hash. Amazing combo of Fried potatoes and queso. Two of my favorite food groups!

From the minute you enter the restaurant, you can see the massive bar and the impressive array of options. Because I was a attending as a part of the dining event, we were able to try several of the drinks as small shooters. I have to admit, each of the cocktails had a unique twist but were all light and extremely refreshing. The beet juice that was incorporated the Bloody Mary, added a surprisingly amazing twist. The La Saracita Margarita had a pineapple flavor, then the Blackberry Sabbath had fruity but subtle tone. No forgetting the Hecho Classico Margarita: Two Ways. Words can’t describe how perfectly constructed and delicious they both were. You must try for yourself!

There is no questioning the fact that Chef Cory Armenta has brought all his impressive experience with him to Hecho. His childhood inspired the stylish Mexican cuisine, and I promise the authentic flavors shine through. The combination of amazing service, welcoming atmosphere, and pungent flavors, made my recent visit to Hecho exceptional! I seriously suggest that you visit Hecho immediately. 2200 Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94114. (415) 926-5630.
