Lake Tahoe Squaw Valley’s High Camp Mountain

Lake Tahoe Squaw Valley's High Camp Mountain

If you’re visiting Lake Tahoe’s Squaw Valley, I highly recommend exploring High Camp Mountain. It’s the mountain at the top of Squaw Valley’s village where the 1960 Winter Olympics games were held. I visited during the summer and I was shocked at all the activities offered, shown below. Or visit the official High Mountain website here for more details and pricing.

Aerial Tram Rides taking guests up and down the mountain

Aerial Tram Hours: 10:40am-4:20pm, last download 5pm daily

Tram Cost: Children $8-$10, Adults $34 – $39, Senior Citizens & Young Adults (13-22) $22 – $25

Note: Be sure to buy your ticket advance online. Also note there are package deals including tram, swimming, rollerskating so you’ll save more as you bundle various activities.

Hiking if you’re feeling like a challenge you can also hike up/down the mountain. I was told this was a medium to hard hike but people do it all the time!
