With Mother’s Day less than a week away, hopefully, you’re starting to think about your plans if you have not already booked reservations. For those still looking for some delicious dining options, I have a great list for you below. And, this includes San Francisco and the North, East & South Bays. So, Happy Mother’s Day! Bluestem Brasserie

 To start off, Celebrate your mother at the beautiful, urban neighborhood restaurant, Bluestem Brasserie.  Plus, Bluestem will be giving moms a special take-away treat during brunch and is the perfect spot to treat your mom to an incredible, flavorful brunch.

The brunch menu features seasonal dishes and favorites such as the Bakers Board (housemade breakfast breads with seasonal accompaniments); the Brunch Board (an assortment of housemade charcuterie & salumi); Seasonal Vegetable Hash (Zuckerman asparagus, English peas, potato, Green garlic puree, Calabrian chiles)the very popular and impressive Brunch Burger (house ground grass-fed beef, hashbrowns, breakfast sausage, bacon, housemade American cheese, fried egg, bread & butter pickles, avocado, spicy ketchup); or indulge in something sweet such as the Cinnamon French Toast.

Celebrate Mother’s Day with a festive, South Indian brunch at DOSA on May 8! DOSA will be offering a new spring brunch menu with some very special additions and will be serving complimentary Mandarin Mimosa’s for all moms at both locations!

At DOSA on Valencia, the chefs have created a few special additions including the Bengali Fish Curry (Sustainably caught Pacific Halibut, oven-roasted in a sauce of mustard, shallots, garlic, ginger, turmeric, tomato, cumin, cilantro with cauliflower & green bean poriyal & coconut rice); Chicken Vindaloo (Marinated free-range chicken in a spicy curry of chiles, garlic, black peppercorn, tamarind & coconut rice); and Squash Blossom Pakora (Mustard, curry leaves, Thai chiles, goat cheese, fresh sweet corn, garlic, chickpea, cilantro-mint & roasted pepper chutneys).

At DOSA on Fillmore, a special 3-course $40 prix fixe menu will be available, in addition to the full a la carte menu and specials such as the Kerala Fish Moilee (Sustainably-caught, coconut sauce, mustard seeds, asparagus snow pea poriyal, coconut rice); Chicken Biryani (Basmati rice-dish, bone-in, natural, fragrant Indian spices, caramelized onions, raita); and South Indian Eggs Benedict. The Dorian 

On Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8, The Dorian in San Francisco will be open from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM serving their regular a la carte brunch and dinner menus, plus all moms will receive a complimentary flower and a “momosa” cocktail. Foreign Cinema 

Next, you can celebrate this Mother’s Day at Foreign Cinema with their iconic brunch and treat Mom to elegant and sophisticated, yet approachable dishes from Chef/Owners Gayle Pirie and John Clark. Truly, you can indulge in delights such as the infamous Organic Seasonal Pop Tarts, Caramel Pecan Sticky Bun, Champagne Omelet, and Balsamic Fried Eggs.

Hog & Rocks 

Resident bar boy, Daniel Veliz, created a special cocktail aptly named Mommy Needs a Minute that will be available all day on Sunday, May 8th.  This delightful drink is just what the doctor ordered for the deserving lady in your life: Nolet Gin, peach and rosemary simple syrup, lemon and egg white for $12.  Screaming children not included.

La Mar 

Celebrate mom on the waterfront with a Peruvian feast at La Mar Cebichería Peruana! Alongside panoramic views of the San Francisco Bay, La Mar will offer a unique Mother’s Day buffet brunch with both traditional and innovative Peruvian dishes from Chef and Peruvian-Native Victoriano Lopez. Offering colorful and fresh fare, the buffet will be offered at $78 per person for adults and $30 for children 12 years and under.

Vibrant appetizer stations will take over the restaurant showcasing large-format versions of La Mar’s beloved Bandejas – or platters – inspired by the true Peruvian spirit. The stations will boast La Mar’s greatest hits including cebiche selections, causitas, tiraditos, nigiri, empanadas, and Anticuchos, to name a few.

One Market Restaurant

Typically open only Monday through Saturday, One Market opens its doors for one special Sunday a year to celebrate the most important ladies in our lives.

On Sunday, May 8th from 10:30 am – 2:30 pm,  Executive Chef Mark Dommen will prepare a delicious brunch featuring classic dishes including Prime Rib, Eggs Benedict, Lightly Smoked Tasmanian Ocean Trout “Mi Cuit” and a Seasonal Omelette, along with a variety of other savory delights.

Celebrate Mother’s Day at Presidio Social Club with a number of special dishes available throughout weekend. The Keystone 

If your Mom’s ideal Mother’s Day is to chill with some good grub, a few groovy tunes, and a great cocktail, then The Keystone’s new Rhythm & Booze Brunch has you covered. There’s a reason why their Southern Fried Chicken Benedict, with coconut curry waffle, poached eggs, and tasso ham bernaise, has such a cult following. It’s that good!

Or go for one of Executive Chef Banks White’s brand new brunch menu items, like the Pandan Beignets with cardamom powder sugar; Pineapple Upsidedown Pancakes with coconut rum syrup; Smoked Trout with Malaysian roti, arugula, and herbed kaffir lime crème fraiche; or Sintia’s Green Chile Tamales with queso fresco, avocado, fried egg, and chorizo gravy.

Top of the Mark at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins

Celebrate mom over brunch at Top of the Mark this Mother’s Day! From 10am – 2pm, the iconic destination features a decadent brunch buffet by Chef Nenad Stefanovic with unobstructed views of the San Francisco Bay and entertainment by Michael Athans on piano.

Menu highlights include a raw bar, salads, antipasto, a selection of small plates including Shrimp ceviche shooterwith Early Girl tomato broth and Smoked duck, orange, and basil oil, and entrees such as Ricotta Ravioli with tomato cream and lobster morsels and assorted dim sum.

Celebrate the important women in your life by treating them to a special meal at on of San Francisco’s hottest new restaurants, Volta, awarded three stars by the San Francisco Chronicle. On Sunday, May 8th, Chef Staffan Terje will be serving sumptuous French fare with Scandinavian influences alongside an impeccable wine list and delicious cocktails, sure to impress Mom.

Ca’ Momi 

Ca’ Momi is celebrating La Festa Della Mamma on Sunday May 8th at their downtown Napa Osteria with two for one Sangue Italiano  an Organic San Marzano DOP Tomato Bloody Mary and Ca’ Secco Bellini during all day from11:30am to 5pm.

They’ll also be offering  a $35 four course prix fix menu from brunch through dinner service that  includes a  Burrata & Verdure plate to start, followed by Ca’ Momi’s signature Pizza Margherita or  Pizza Veneta and an Insalata Mista before ending sweetly with a decadent Millefoglie alle Fragole.

Located within the Oxbow Public Market, moms who dine in will receive $5 glasses of sparkling wine, Ca’ Secco or Ca’ Rosa, and two complimentary sweet bignes. The whole family can enjoy any pizza & glass of Bianco or Rosso di Ca’ Momi for $22. If you’re throwing a Mother’s day bash at home, they’re also offering a take-out options with a bottle of Ca’ Secco or Ca’ Rosa plus 6 bigne for $30.

FARM at The Carneros Inn

Treat mom to a Wine Country celebration and leave the pampering up toFARM at The Carneros Inn (4048 Sonoma Hwy) with their lavish Mother’s Day brunch on Sunday, May 8.

Designed by Executive Chef Aaron Meneghelli, the family-style brunch will include a spread of seasonal dishes such as Warm Asparagus Salad with trumpet mushroom bacon, soft poached egg and frisee;Local Halibut with crushed fava beans and salsa verde; and Rosemary Honey Glazed Caggiano Ham with Carolina Gold rice, toasted cipollini onions, and English pea shoot, among others.

The grand finale will conclude with a dessert platter that includes Chocolate Raspberry Tart, Cheesecake Pop, and Vanilla Panna Cotta with fruit compote. FARM will be open for brunch from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The adult menu is priced at $85 per person and the children’s menu is $40 per child (ages 4-12). Copita Tequileria y Comida 

If you’re in the North Bay or treating your mom to a day-trip, Copita is a must-visit for brunch or Mother’s Day dinner, offering a beautiful intimate dining room and dining al fresco.  For Mother’s Day Brunch, Copita is also offering all ladies complimentary sangria, to celebrate both moms and all of the special women in our lives.

The contemporary Mexican restaurant located in the heart of downtown Sausalito, is serving fresh, flavorful dishes inspired by seasonal Mexican cooking, alongside tequila cocktails. Copita’s new executive chef, Daniel Tellez, recently launched an entirely new brunch menu based on breakfast dishes he grew up eating in Mexico City.

The menu features his take on classic Mexican dishes with a contemporary update, like the Enfrijoladas (Scrambled egg fried tacos drenched in a black bean sauce, house made chorizo, pickled red onion, cilantro), the Xalapa Eggs (Scrambled eggs with Niman Ranch cured bacon & Jalapeno peppers in tomato and oregano sauce, black bean puree, sour cream & cilantro) or the Chilaquiles Montados (Mole manchamanteles, fried eggs, house- made tortilla chips, queso fresco, cilantro, onion, cream).

These new vibrant dishes feature a delicious mix of traditional flavors and spices alongside seasonal and local ingredients. Poggio 

Celebrate Mother’s Day at the beautiful Sausalito trattoria, Poggio. You immediately feel transported to Italy when you walk into the dining room or while enjoying the outside tables, overlooking Bridgeway and the Bay.

Poggio will be offering all moms a beautiful Gardenia and Chef Benjamin Balesteri has put together an authentic Italian menu featuring local ingredients with special additions just for Mother’s Day. A special Bellini and non-alcoholic sangria will also be offered.

Seasonal dishes and favorites include the Insalata Fragola (strawberries, butter lettuce, pickles onion, ricotta salata, and pecans); Burrata (di Stefano’s burrata, English pea puree, arugula, mint, radish, crostini); the Trota (grilled Mt. Lassen trout, English peas, mushrooms, leeks, and miners lettuce); Milanese (asparagus, san daniele 16 month ham, parmigiano, fonduta, fried egg) and if your mom loves pasta, try the Gnudi (spinach ricotta pillows, beef ragu, parmigiano reggiano), or other flavorful options.

Bocanova 

Celebrate Mother’s Day in Oakland’s Jack London Square with a Pan American brunch at Bocanova. Chef Owner Rick Hackett will be cooking up delightful dishes inspired by the cuisines of Central and South America. The food and drinks combined with outdoor seating with views of the harbor are sure to impress the special woman in your life. Cafe Eugene 

With the recent unveiling of daily brunch, Albany’s newest restaurant will serve special Pacific Northwest-inspired treats this Mother’s Day. Mirrored after Owner Ryan Murff’s favorite Mother’s Day tradition, Waffles with Strawberries and Whipped Cream will be on special in addition to floral cocktails made just for the holiday. In true Oregon taste, moms will be sent home with special wildflowers. Brunch will run from 9am-3pm and reservations can be made online or by calling 510.647.9999.

District 

On Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8, District in Old Oakland will be serving brunch from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM with an all you can eat breakfast buffet and a bottomless Mimosa for $35.00 ($22.00 for just the buffet). Firstly, children ten years of age and under can enjoy the buffet for $10.00. Next, menu highlights will include several treats. This includes buttermilk pancakes with banana-rum syrup, steel-cut oatmeal with bourbon vanilla brown sugar, house-made spicy chicken sausage, biscuits and sawmill gravy, chipotle-garlic breakfast potatoes, fried sweet plantains with house salsa, cheddar grits, and chocolate chip bread pudding with bourbon caramel. The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards

 It’s that time of year again. Mother’s Day is upon us, and we’re looking for the perfect gift and somewhere to take her to make her feel like the queen that she is. This year, take her to The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards – located in the heart of Livermore Valley’s picturesque wine country – the perfect setting where she can sip award-winning wine, all while enjoying a savory, delicious brunch overlooking a gorgeous landscape. Also, Executive Chef Mike Ward and his culinary team have crafted a one-of-a-kind brunch for one-of-a-kind mothers, available on Sunday, May 8. Start off with a specialty cocktail such as the Wente 75, consisting of Wente Vineyards Brut, elderflower liqueur, lemon-thyme syrup.

The three-course prix fixe menu includes various seasonal dishes. This includes Hamachi Crudo, crispy ginger salad, fermented wasabi, kumquat, sesame seed; Bread Pudding French Toast, bing cherry compote, toasted hazelnuts, vermont maple syrup; Dungeness Crab Benedict, poached eggs, whole wheat muffin, breakfast potatoes, piquillo hollandaise; Hudson Valley Foie Gras Torchon, green strawberries, sauterne, walnuts, endive, champagne vinaigrette (for $10.00 extra); Slow Roasted Chicken Salad, buttermilk dressing, crispy shallots, coddled egg, frisée, pickled spring onions; and much more. Manresa Bread Mother’s Day Box

Pre-order breakfast for mom this Mother’s Day at Manresa Bread. The Mother’s Day Box includes two kale parmesan scones, two monkey breads, one bag of Manresa Bread almond granola, 4 oz. jar of Big Sur marmalade, and an optional bag of Verve Street Level coffee. The Mother’s Day Box is available for pre-order on the Manresa Bread website for pick up at Manresa Bread in Los Gatos. Pricing is $27 without coffee, $40 with coffee. The last day to pre-order is May 5.

Restaurant 1833 

This Mother’s Day, take a scenic getaway down the coast for a unique brunch at Monterey’s historic Stokes Adobe House. At celebrated Restaurant 1833, the dinner-only house will open its doors for a special brunch from 10am-3pm.

Under the direction of Executive Chef Jason Franey, an à la carte brunch menu will be offered alongside $18.33 Bottomless Mimosas. Also, celebrated Pastry Chef Ben Spungin will offer special treats at $15 each (including Orange Sherbet, Raspberry Sorbet, Strawberry Sorbet, and Peach Sorbet Mimosas).

Additionally, Moms can enjoy the unique brunch offerings in one of the storied rooms of the two-story space. And, you can continue the mimosas on the fireside patio underneath the signature palm and a 150-year-old oak tree. Reservations can be made through OpenTable or by calling 831.643.1833.
