Why The Ritz Carlton San Francisco’s Parallel 37 Restaurant: For those of you that live in San Francisco or are visiting The Ritz Carlton’s Parallel 37 Restaurant is a spot I recommend you experiencing. Not only because it’s in the gorgeous Ritz Carlton Hotel, but because their food and service is exceptional. Led by Chef Michael Rotondo, an alumni of Chicago’s Charlie Trotters the team is not only talented but offers incredible detail oriented service in a lovely setting with unbelievable food. It is really a class act and as a local somewhere I see myself returning to frequently and taking visiting friends.

What do I recommend you experience: The beauty of Parallel 37 is you can either do the tasting menu, which is what I experienced, or you can order A La Carte. I did the 3-course tasting menu which is $85 per person, with wine pairings an additional $75 per person and it was heavenly! I was torn on what wine to order, so our server was nice enough to let me try them all (flight shown above). One of my 2016 resolutions is to get more familiar with French Wines since I typically drink California Wines and thanks to the nice wine tasting I ended up ordering a glass of the Manoir du Capucin.  It’s this kind of service where a server guides you through a tasting to decide on the perfect wine that I adore and makes me appreciate dining experiences like I had at Parallel 37.

The delicious bread assortment with house-made butter. I’m not usually that into bread but with this assortment I tried every one and they were all delicious.

The first course of Cauliflower Soup which was amazing. It was rich with a doll up of Creme Fraiche yet it wasn’t too filling and left room for the next two courses. By the way, Cauliflower Soup is one of my all time favorite dishes reminding me of family trips my Grandmother’s Farm in Norway so always near and dear to my heart.

My Snake River Farms Ribeye entree served with grilled romaine, black garlic & short rib. This was perfectly cooked and so juicy and flavorful. Just like the rest of the meal it was incredible!

One of my favorite Russian River Pinot Noirs served with the Ribeye. Delicious!

The incredible dessert which was Chocolate with Bananas and Powdered sugar. So light yet sweet and delicious.

Thanks so much The Ritz Carlton San Francisco for partnering with me on this post and hosting me to your Restaurant. I adored my visit and can’t wait to return soon! All opinions and love for the Restaurant shared in this post are my own.
