Where is the Loews Regency Hotel Spa: The Loews Regency Hotel is located in San Francisco’s Financial District (FiDi).  You may be familiar with the hotel location as it was formerly the Mandarin Hotel San Francisco.  If you’re not familiar with it, get familiar as they have one of the most incredible Spa’s I’ve visited. It’s truly a luxurious experience any guest will adore and an experience you’ll cherish. 

What should you expect: Like any Spa, expect to be pampered. From the moment you walk in the door and are greeted with Tea or Bubbly (they knew I was a Wine lover clearly and planned accordingly with both) you feel right at home. The team is extremely professional, with excellent customer service and attention to every detail. You really can tell that you are at a luxurious Spa who know how to take care of their guests. I have been to Spas all over the world and this is hands down one of the top Spa’s I’ve experienced in terms of consistent customer service (from the front desk team, to the technician, to the Spa Manager) and over the top treatments. I would send any friend, family or J.S.F. reader to the Loews Regency with no doubt that you will also be blown away by the experience.

The Retail Boutique selling the Julien Farel products used at the Loews Regency San Francisco and New York properties.  At the San Francisco Spa, the in-room toiletries for guests include Julien Farel products, and all hotel guest room toiletries are by Julien Farel.

The treatment room for both the Massage and Facial. It was great that I stayed in one spot and the technicians came to me. Yet another luxurious perk the Loews does for their guests.

What was my massage and Spa experience like:  I had the pleasure of enjoying two treatments during my visit. The Fast Four Hand Massage $190 which is two masseuses massaging you at the same time. So, instead of a 50-minute massage with one masseuse, it’s a 30 minute massage with two. Brilliant, right? It’s perfect for any of you busy career ladies or gentlemen that want to take care of yourself and relax a bit, but only have 45-60 minutes. You can easily sneak out of the office during lunch or a “meeting” get this spectacular 30 minute treatment and be back without anyone noticing you just went to heaven while they were still working away!  Don’t worry about going back to the office smelling yummy (like a spa), and giving away your secret. Each of the four treatment rooms has their own private bathroom so you can shower and freshen up before heading out. This Massage is truly brilliant.

What other treatments do I recommend: Since it’s not that often I get to enjoy a Spa day I took advantage of a lazy Sunday afternoon and went for back to back treatments. I had never done this (shockingly) and it was incredible. I started with the fast four-hands massage followed by the 90 minute Diamond Facial ($355). This was one of the most luxurious facials I have ever had. It included Natura Bisse products which are also used in several other treatments. As much as I love to relax and chill during  a facial I actually do not love being left alone in the room waiting as the products are working their magic so I loved all the massaging (arms, neck, legs) in between the various masks. The well stocked bathroom, equipped with anything you could need post spa treatment. The hair products are Natura Bisse (the same line used in my Diamond Facial and several of the other treatments)

The relaxation room where I relaxed post treatments and enjoyed a delicious Salad and some bubbles. Yes, more bubbles. I told you, this Spa is incredible!

The Kale Salad with Grilled Shrimp which was delicious. Nice and light in a flavorful dressing. Perfect healthy dining option for a spa day.
