Chile: Valparaiso Where To Eat

Where to Eat in Valparaiso Chile.

Fauna – For one of the most spectacular views and roof patios I’ve seen anywhere this is the spot. This is also a great option within Valparaiso Dining for either a drink, or a casual tasty bite. Katherine and I were walking home and as we ascended a few hills we saw a lively terrace, which looked fun, and we set our minds to finding it. After zig zagging a bit we found it. Wow, definitely worth the trek to experience this cool awesome bar with spectacular city and ocean views and delicious food and inventive drinks. This is a MUST TRY in Valparaiso. Go during the day or early evening to enjoy the views.  Paseo Dimalow 166, ValparaĂso 2340000, Quinta RegiĂłn de ValparaĂso, Chile. 56 32 327 0719.

Possibly the best water view in the city!

Pasta E Vino – If you’re looking for delicious rich Italian food this is the spot for you. It came recommended to me by a local Chilean food blogger, Girl Exploring and I see why. Cool scene, delicious food and good service.  Thanks for the fabulous rec!   It’s a very small restaurant with a cozy feel to it. The interior is decorated modernly, a bit minimal. The food was delicious. Very rich Italian, but delicious. Be sure to make a reservation (possibly before you arrive to Valparaiso) as our hotel (The Cirilio Armstrong) said it is one of the most popular hardest restaurants to get into. Enjoy! Templeman 352, Valparaiso, Chile. 56 –32 –496187.

Mercadito Alegre (cupcake & empanadas shop) –  Just a few blocks from our hotel was the most charming Bakery/Empanadas shop. Although we had just eaten lunch I had to take a peak in. A friendly gentleman who sells cupcakes, chocolates and empanadas owns it.  Quite an interesting assortment of sweets and salty, however, it clearly works. He said he’s been open 1-2 years and it’s doing well. The cupcakes were beautifully decorated and I’m guessing as tasty as they looked.  Cerro Alegre, ValparaĂso 2340000, ValparaĂso, Chile. 56 9 7744 7500.
